Discussions on the necessity and orientation of liberal art education in 
universities have been ongoing. However, most of these discussions
 have been based on Western philosophy and educational theory since
 modern times. In this study, I tried to link our traditional culture "Pungnyu" 
with liberal art education in university, and analyzed the case of the
 ¡®The World We Meet with Traditional Music¡¯ class at Humanitas College 
of Kyung Hee University in that way. The results of analyzing the tasks 
of three semesters from the second semester of 2020 to the first 
semester of 2021 and interpreting them in connection with the "Pungnyu
 Culture", suggest as follows:First, it is desirable to develop the ability of 
students to find the essence of art and recreate it in their own way rather 
than unilateral knowledge transfer in liberal art education, and strengthening
 the ability of professors to lead this process is essential. Second, liberal art 
education in universuty should not be about nurturing high-end appreciators or
 cultured people, but it should reach the level of fostering world citizens, 
"Pungnyu Human", who can reason and solve all problems in politics, economy, 
and society through art methods.Third, it is necessary to exchange and integrate
 with each other, such as a group of art subjects, such as a variety of art genres.
Fourth, the previous relative evaluation method is inconsistent with what the arts
 are aiming for, requiring a shift to P/F evaluation or absolute evaluation. Fifth,
 the "Pungnyu Culture", which recognizes the world through the arts and looks back 
on itself, shows a desirable combination of life and art. In order to restore the 
"Pungnyu Culture", it is necessary to designate the compulsory required
 completion of the liberal art education curriculum at the university.
