The Formation and Growth of Critical Female Intelligence
: Focused on Park Soon-nyeo's novels
Individuals who know how to secure inner truths against popular interests and outside pressure are essential elements of civil society formation. This is because citizens in the modern sense mean free people who enjoy life on their own and take charge of the community by securing economic and political rights, rather than being as restrained as they were in slavery. In this context, the April 19 Revolution in 1960 was a static event with cracks in the regime of "survivalism," which had become a collective mind of Koreans since the end of the war. As the April 19 revolution awakened the value of freedom and democracy, the temptation of snobbery or critical intelligence to counter slavery morality could also be activated. The article is an example of the maturity of Korean literature in the 1960s, and I would like to take note of Park Soon-nyeo¡¯s novel. Park Sun-nyeo broke away from the so-called "Designated Seats for Women" in the literary world, and began her literary career with the election of I Love You (1962), a leading intellectual magazine, as a lyricist, in the literature section of the 1960s and 1970s. The Japanese occupation of Korean history, ranging from a military dictatorship, Park from the time of submission and the suppression of freedom of human nature, metaphor and critical.Identity formation to a woman's story and attention.
Key Words: college, elite class, desire for advancement, snobbery, liberation and the Korean War, 1960s, critical female intellectuals, writing on the border, etc.
