A Study on the civic education for the Candlelight Generation in Korea:
Promoting the change of their consciousness
from the normative beliefs to the establishing beliefs

  his study is to be carried out for pursing a gap that exists between Candlelight Generation's self-consciousness and Democratic Citizenship on the Political and Social Issue in Korea, and empirically to suggest the Practical Implication of the civic education 'Field Work' for the Youth in the University Education. For this, I suggested such research questions that How freshmen(new comer), attending Kyung-hee University, have been shaping the sense of self-consciousness in their life, and What effects on them in the course of civic education, a subject of Humanitas College. And also for this study, I tried to purse their cognitions of the Democracy that reveal conscious phenomenon, using the concept of 'signifiant' and 'signifié' that Ferdinand de Saussure suggests in his books.
