삶의 의미 배우기로서의 교양교육

이 논문의 주제는 대학 교양교육을 통하여 수강자가 삶의 의미를 배울 수 있게 하는 방법에 대한 고찰이다. 이 논문의 논지는 프랑클의 로고테라피에 기초해 있다. 현대인은 삶의 의미상실감으로 인하여 고통을 받는다. 현대인은 환원주의의 영향으로 인하여 허무주의와 숙명론, 삶의 의미부재로 떨어진다. 대학 교양교육은 시대의 인간상과 세계상을 비판적으로 극복하고, 의미 중심의 인생철학을 전해야 한다.
교양교육의 임무는 학습자로 하여금 삶의 의미를 충족시킬 책임이 있음을 깨닫게 하는 것이며 삶의 상황의 의미를 알아차리게 하는 양심을 익히게 하는 것이다. 인간은 세 가지 가치 범주인 창조 가치, 경험 가치, 태도 가치를 실현함으로써, 삶의 의미를 찾아낼 수 있다. 교양교육은 수강자에게 가치세계의 풍부함을 보여 줌으로써, 삶의 의미를 찾을 수 있는 길의 제한이 없음을 개시한다. 교수는 수강자의 삶의 의미를 수강자에게 보여줄 수 없다. 교수는 수강자가 그의 삶의 의미를 볼 수 있는 시력을 강화시켜 주는 역할을 할 뿐이다.

The liberal education as learning of life-meaning

The subject of this article is to show, how can trainee learn meaning of life through liberal education of university. The point of this article is based in logotheraphy of frankl.
Our life is severely challenged by sense of meaninglessness of life. The reductionism of modern science makes man fall in the nihilism and fatalism and meaninglessness of life. The task of liberal education of university makes man have the sense of responsibility to fulfill meaning of life and be inured to conscience to find meaning of life-situation. The three categories of value are creative, empirical and attitudinal value. Man can find the meaning of life by so realizing values. The task of liberal education makes trainee learn the way of finding meaning of life. Professor can not show the meaning of life of trainee himself.
He can only reinforce sight of trainee to see the meaning of life of trainee himself.
