A Study on the Textbook System and Operation Plan Based on Academic Writing Process

  The purpose of this study is to find out the system and operation plan of the textbook based on the process and to propose it for the ultimate goal of writing the essay.
  First, academic writing is effective after graduation because it is 'to learn how to organize their own concepts and organize data', and it is also helpful to write individual major regardless of major. In the case of the textbooks for each series, the differentiations are not clearly shown for each series, and they are gradually shifting to integrated writing.
  Next, the writing textbook of Kyunghee University was divided and it was difficult to organically link the example sentences and written tasks with the written essays. In order to solve these problems, a reorganization of the whole textbook is inevitable, and it is required that the contents of the writing education course and the contents of the textbook match in real time.
  To do this, we proposed 'project - based learning textbook model based on writing process' as a newly revised textbook model. You can set up one semester's curriculum as four projects according to the writing process. In other words, the four projects can be set as 'discovery of the subject', 'criticism and alternative', 'material and composition', and 'synthesis and completion'. In each project, reading, discussion, comment and writing are common.
  Thus, the project-based learning materials based on the writing process are intended to match the writing itself with the writing process in real time. This allows teachers to match the lecture schedule with the writing process and learners will gain a sense of accomplishment that is a benefit of the projected learning model and reduce the burden of writing.
