Art Coding Subject for Interdisciplinary Education in Liberal Arts

Recent diversification and new multI-cultural issues emphasizes the importance of Interdisciplinary Education to foster talent with the ability to solve creative problems. In particular, a diverse understanding of human beings and flexible thinking and imagination are based on the importance of the Interdisciplinary. In response, this research is designed to combine Arts Education based on humanities and __EXPRESSION__ and Software Education based on Computational Thinking thought as a Interdisciplinary education in Liberal Arts.
According to John Dewey's Aesthetic, 'Art implies that a person is part of nature as a material and a property of which an experience is embedded. ' In addition, as a way to foster creative talent in the digital age, software education, which is being conducted around the world, is a ' Computational Thinking, ' a universal learning tool, offered by Jeannette M. Wing. Based on this, the researchers used the process of pursuing, discovering and exploring the meaning of artwork by combining Art and Software Education and using coding based on Computational Thinking.
The new Art Coding Subjects presented in this study will be not only artistic aesthetic experience, but also the acquisition of coding skills, ethical thinking, communication and sharing. Hope that this research will contribute to developing a Interdisciplinary subject that can foster a creative problem-solving solution based on a wide understanding of humans and flexible thinking and imagination.
