대학교양 융합교육을 위한 아트코딩 과목

최근 기술의 발달과 더불어 급격하게 변하는 세계는 예측하지 못한 새로운 문제를 해결할 수 있는 창의적 문제해결능력을 갖춘 인재양성교육을 그 어느 때보다 중시하고 있다. 특히 다변화와 다문화로 직면하게 되는 복잡한 문제해결을 위해 단순한 지식 전달보다는 학문간 연계를 기반으로 인간에 대한 폭넓은 이해와 유연한 사고 및 상상력 발현으로 삶과 연관된 실제적인 문제를 창의적으로 해결할 수 있는 융합적 인재양성교육이 전 세계적으로 강조되고 있다.
이에 본 연구는 융합교육을 위한 다양한 변화와 지속적인 노력에 기여하고자, ‘대학교양 융합교육으로서 인간에 대한 이해와 창의적 상상의 표현에 기반한 예술교육과 컴퓨팅 사고력에 기반한 소프트웨어 교육을 융합한 새로운 융합과목 설계’를 연구의 목적으로 한다.
듀이 미학에 의하면 ‘예술은 하나의 경험이 스며들어 있는 성질이자 인간 그 자체의 재료로서 인간이 자연의 한 부분임을 암시’한다. 또한 디지털 시대의 창의적 인재양성을 위한 방안으로서 전 세계적으로 진행되고 있는 소프트웨어 교육은 지넷 윙이 제시한 ‘컴퓨팅 사고 즉, 누구나 배워서 활용할 수 있는 보편적인 적용 태도이고 기술’의 학습을 목적으로 하는 교육이다. 이를 기반으로 본 연구자는 대학교양으로서 예술과 소프트웨어 교육을 융합하여 ‘예술작품을 감상하고 그 의미를 발견, 탐구 및 분석하는 과정’과 ‘컴퓨팅 사고력에 기반한 코딩을 활용하여 예술적 재해석에 의한 표현하는 과정’이 융합된 아트코딩(Art Coding)'과목을 설계하였다.
본 연구에서 새로이 제시하는 ‘아트코딩’ 과목은 예술적 심미적 탐구를 넘어서 코딩 기술의 습득, 다학문 탐구, 윤리적 사고, 소통, 공유 등을 경험 및 학습하게 될 것이다. 본 연구가 인간에 대한 폭넓은 이해와 유연한 사고 및 상상력을 기반으로 한 창의적 문제해결력을 함양할 수 있는 융합과목 개발에 기여할 수 있기를 기대한다.

Art Coding Subject for Interdisciplinary Education in Liberal Arts

Recent diversification and new multI-cultural issues emphasizes the importance of Interdisciplinary Education to foster talent with the ability to solve creative problems. In particular, a diverse understanding of human beings and flexible thinking and imagination are based on the importance of the Interdisciplinary. In response, this research is designed to combine Arts Education based on humanities and __EXPRESSION__ and Software Education based on Computational Thinking thought as a Interdisciplinary education in Liberal Arts.
According to John Dewey's Aesthetic, 'Art implies that a person is part of nature as a material and a property of which an experience is embedded. ' In addition, as a way to foster creative talent in the digital age, software education, which is being conducted around the world, is a ' Computational Thinking, ' a universal learning tool, offered by Jeannette M. Wing. Based on this, the researchers used the process of pursuing, discovering and exploring the meaning of artwork by combining Art and Software Education and using coding based on Computational Thinking.
The new Art Coding Subjects presented in this study will be not only artistic aesthetic experience, but also the acquisition of coding skills, ethical thinking, communication and sharing. Hope that this research will contribute to developing a Interdisciplinary subject that can foster a creative problem-solving solution based on a wide understanding of humans and flexible thinking and imagination.
