CMC 시대의 인간존재와 대학 교양교육의 방향

우리는 세상은 물론이고 나 자신까지도 매개를 통해 만난다. 우리 신체와 신체의 호르몬도 세상을 만나게 해주는 매개다. 미디어가 바뀌면 세계와 우리 자신의 존재가 바뀐다. 인간다운 인간 ㅡ후마니터스ㅡ을 탐구하고 육성하는 인문학과 이에 기반 한 교양교육은 오늘날의 세계와 인간을 특징짓는 매개물에 대해서 탐구하고 그것이 가져온 변화에 대처해야한다. 우리시대를 특징짓는 미디어는 CMC(Computer Mediated Communication)이다. CMC 환경은 1) 탈시간성, 2) 탈공간성, 3) 탈신체성, 4) 탈일방성, 5) 탈언어성, 6) 탈인격성을 특징으로 한다. 그리고 이런 환경적 특징들은 인간이 추구하는 가치와 욕망과 규범의식에 변화를 초래한다. 이런 변화를 참고해 대학 교양교육은 1. 이 시대 가치와 욕망과 규범을 밝히고 2. 보존해야할 그것과 3. 추구해야할 그것을 학생들에게 설득력 있게 제시해야한다.
이 논문에서 필자는 맥루한의 미디어 이론과 시몽동의 기술철학을 참조하여 CMC 시대의 세계와 인간존재의 윤곽을 그려보고, 이렇게 파악된 세계와 인간존재를 위해서 대학교양교육이 해야 할 역할을 제안해 보았다.

Human beings in CMC era and direction

We see not only the world but also ourselves through the medium. Our body and it's hormone are also the medium, that allows us to meet the world. The media world has changed, he changed with the presence of our own. If the media will be changed, we will change. Humanities explores a more humane human being -humanitas-.and raise of this. Liberal education is based on this humanities. This Liberal education should be explored for a medium that characterizes today's world and the human being, and must respond to changes it brought. Media that characterizes our times is CMC (Computer Mediated Communication). CMC features of the environment: 1) de-temporality, 2) de-spatiality, 3) de physicality, 4) talil Department of Defense, 5) de-verbal, 6) de personhood. And these environmental features results in a change of values and norms desire and pursuit of human consciousness. College of liberal arts education should take into account these changes. Then it should disclose the age norms and values and desires. And It suggests what should we preserve certain values and desires and norms. The University should present convincing the students what kind of norms, values and desires they will pursuit. In this paper, referring to M. McLuhan's media theory and G. Simondon's philosophy of technology, I saw the world and draw the outline of a human being the age of the CMC. Finally, I propose a role to play in college liberal arts education for this world and the human being.
