Whoring the Queer, Queering the Whore

In this article, I would like to suggest the future of sexuality theory and sexuality politics by following Annamarie Jagoes¡¯s discussion, which is a simple presentation of how feminism and queer theory have been and how they should be related. To this end, I first read the ¡°sex workers¡± subject in the frame of queer feminism, focusing on the concepts of ¡®male homosocial desire¡¯ and ¡®asymmetric gender binary system¡¯ proposed by Eve Kosofsky Sedgwick. Secondly, I will argue that sexual minorities and sex workers need to actively cooperate in designing and practicing the prospects of feminist and anti-homophobic views and liberative sexual politics.
Key words: feminism, queer, asymmetric gender binary system, anti-sexism, anti-homophobia, sex worker, sexual politics, solidarity.
