세계화라는 미로에 갇힌 대학
-대학의 사회적 기능과 시대적 역할

국문초록
대학은 근대화 과정의 역사적 산물이다. 대학은 자신이 속한 시대와의 상호작용 속에서 다양한 사회적 기능과 역할들을 수행해 왔다. 본 논문은 중세 후기에 탄생한 대학에서부터 21세기 현대의 대학까지 개략적으로 살펴보면서, 대학이 어떤 형태로 변화되어 왔으며 그것이 생산해 내는 학문들은 시대적 요청과 어떤 관계에 있는지를 살펴보고자 한다. 또한 기존의 대학담론과 관련해 많이 언급되는 대학에 대한 거대서사들의 형성과정과 그것이 지닌 시대적 의미와 한계는 무엇인지를 짚어보고자 한다. 마지막으로, 신자유주의 시대의 오늘날 대학이 처해 있는 내적 외적 문제점들을 진단해보고자 한다.

University is an historical product of the modern era. University has been taken many roles and functions interacting social circumstances with academic truth. This study summarizes formations and main disciplines of university form the middle era to 21th century and focuses on that how these formations and disciplines have been matched with the need of the times. And then, this study exams the process of birth of major narratives which is lately discussed and their historical meanings and limitations. Finally this study reviews internal and external problems of university in our neoliberal era.
