- A Case Study on the Learning Methodology of Writing Education

Writing education has a great implication in terms of its performance on the direction of liberal arts
education at universities. This is in the sense that "writing" is not a point of reach but a "performance"
in terms of the purpose of liberal education for fostering democratic citizens who think actively and
creatively. As a democratic citizen, a series of critical thinking for presenting one's views on an issue,
accepting others' opinions, and seeking a reasonable alternative corresponds directly to the writing
process.
This paper believes that it is necessary to pay more attention to the performance value of writing,
and sought a methodology of writing education to demonstrate the "human-like" ability to reason
critically and creatively through the writing process. The process of organizing humanistic reasons
was presented in the case of training in writing in the '(1)Questioning and Discussion-(2)Deep
Expanded Questions: writing social criticism-(3)Writing Academic Essays; exploring the Path to
Solving Problems'. Among the various branches of writing, academic essay is a suitable branch for
conducting critical and reflective reason activities, and the final goal of a semester's writing class is to
go through "writing social criticism" in the middle stage. Through writing a theory, it was intended to
focus more on the question itself, and through academic essay, it was intended to emphasize the path
to solving the problem. This is because the process of getting there was more important than the final
point of humanistic thinking.
