A Study on the Improvement of Class Design Through a Survey on

20st and 21st Year Students¡¯ Perception of Non-face-to-face Online Class

 Kim, Sungil

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a survey on the perception of online

 non-face-to-face classes of Kyung Hee University's 20st and 21s

t year students who took the 2020-2021 <World and Citizens> subject,

and suggest ways to improve class design based on the results. As a

result of the survey, the satisfaction of the 21st year students for online

non-face-to-face classes was high, because the circumstances surrounding

online non-face-to-face classes were different in 2020 and 2021. In addition,

20st and 21st year students had a high negative response to communication

between professor and students, and students, which should be solved first in

online non-face-to-face classes that have been in place for two years. The

convenience of using the LMS showed high satisfaction among 21st year

students, which is a result of continuous technological innovation and

supplementation. In the future, online non-face-to-face classes should be

used as a new material for ¡®normal classes¡¯ by improving the media literacy of

professor and designing classes appropriate for online situations.
