 Recognizing that global challenges, such as climate change, ecological environment issues, poverty and inequality, and democratic crises in the global environment, are closely related to each and every person¡¯s life, ¡®World and Citizens¡¯ seeks to encourage the students to redefine and pursue their role as a global citizen and to think critically and creatively on what they can do to create a better world. To this end, the emphasis is placed on self-directed learning and debate, and on cooperative team work and creative practice. However, students and professors are expressing difficulties in their team activities.
 This paper deals with the concept of public data and various approaches, and discusses methodologies and usefulness through the cases applied in the first semester of 2019. It should be noted that such methodologies are useful for and beneficial in developing the "abilitity to think" and the "ability to question" for college students of the digital native generation.
